22 Calls Received About Fatal Peckham House Fire

A tragic incident has occurred following a house fire in Peckham.

According to the London Fire Brigade, control officers received 22 calls regarding the fire on Bath Close, with the first call reported at 22:00 GMT on 22 December.

Details of the Incident

The fire caused significant damage to part of the second floor of the mid-terraced residence. Emergency medical personnel treated three women at the scene, with two requiring transportation to a hospital. Unfortunately, one of the women later succumbed to injuries sustained in the blaze.

Fire crews from various stations, including Peckham, New Cross, Greenwich, and Brixton, successfully brought the situation under control by approximately 23:15 GMT.

Investigation Underway

The cause of the fire remains under investigation, as authorities continue to gather information on this tragic occurrence.
