57 Years: London Burglary Gang Sentenced for Extensive Crime Spree

A total of 57 years has been imposed on a London burglary gang following their extensive criminal activities across multiple regions, including London, Surrey, and Sussex. The sentences, which were delivered by Kingston Crown Court on Wednesday, December 17, ranged from just under three years to over 11 years.

The criminal group operated between November 2024 and March 2025, engaging in numerous break-ins that struck fear into local communities. Members of this gang, hailing from areas such as Wembley, Hayes, and Pinner, employed various tactics to evade capture. They utilized stolen vehicles with cloned license plates, often leaving their phones behind or switching them off, and attempted to eliminate DNA evidence with cleaning products.

Police Investigation

However, law enforcement was not oblivious to their efforts. A sophisticated investigation leveraging drones, CCTV, and Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) technology enabled police to apprehend the gang members in March while they were caught red-handed in a stolen vehicle loaded with goods.

Detective Chief Inspector Antony Leadbeatter characterized the operation as „burglary on an industrial scale,“ underscoring the organized nature of their crimes, which primarily targeted ordinary households. He commended the Surrey’s Serious Organised Crime team for their extensive efforts in gathering evidence against the criminals, leading them to plead guilty.

Sentences of Key Members

Among the gang, Patrick Nolan, aged 35, was sentenced to 10 years and 10 months after pleading guilty to 19 counts of conspiracy to commit burglary. George Price, 34, received 10 years and two months for 21 similar offences. Lawrence Connors, aged 32, was handed an 11 years and 10 months sentence for his 11 offences, while Miles Doran, aged 36, received two years and eight months for a burglary and an attempted burglary.

Leadbeatter concluded by communicating a clear message to potential burglars: „Target Surrey and we will target you.“ This statement emphasizes the commitment of law enforcement to tackle organized crime and protect local communities.
