On April 10, 2026, a man was charged after law enforcement officials recovered firearms, ammunition, and drugs in north London.
Corey Ledgister, 51, residing on Farndale Avenue in Enfield, was taken into custody on Thursday, April 9.
During the operation, officers uncovered a total of 13 counterfeit Glock-style firearms, along with 13 extended magazines and 640 rounds of ammunition.
On April 10, he faced charges that include:
- Thirteen counts of possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life
- Possession of ammunition with intent to endanger life
- Possession of an offensive weapon in a public place
- Possession of an offensive weapon in a private place
Ledgister has been remanded in custody and is scheduled to appear at Stratford Magistrates Court on Saturday, April 11.
“Tackling violence and the threat of counterfeit firearms is one we take incredibly seriously. I am pleased that our operation has resulted in dangerous weapons taken off our streets,”
stated Acting Detective Chief Inspector Damian Hill from the Metropolitan Police’s Specialist Crime Command. In recent times, similar incidents have raised concerns, such as the case of a jubilant youth arrested over a reckless trend that has spread across the UK.
In addition to the firearms, officers also confiscated cannabis from the premises and discovered eight prohibited dogs, which exhibited injuries consistent with breeding and dog fighting.
As a result, Ledgister has been further charged with possession of a Class B drug and animal cruelty offenses.
