How far can a company go to express gratitude during the holiday season? The CEO of Connect Management in London has made headlines by allocating an impressive £100,000 on Christmas gifts for employees this year, including a luxury Range Rover for one fortunate staff member.
Benjy Leslie, the head of the social-first agency, has initiated a ‚Santa Leslie incentive‘ aimed at recognizing employee efforts. In the weeks leading up to Christmas, Leslie selects both an employee and a salesperson of the day, granting them the opportunity to choose a present from a grand display of gifts. The extensive selection includes various wrapped items and envelopes, culminating in an extravagant total of £100,000.
Extravagant Gifts and Employee Reactions
The highlight of the festivities occurred when a relatively new employee, having joined the company mere months before, won a Range Rover. A video shared on the company’s TikTok page captures the enthusiasm of colleagues as Chloe, the lucky recipient, is presented with the vehicle. Other prizes included an iPhone, concert tickets, a scooter, Rayban Meta sunglasses, AirPods Pro Max, an Osmo camera, a Lego set, an LED beauty mask, and more.
Upon selecting the number 60, Chloe was astonished to learn she had won a car along with one year’s insurance. Typically, the cost of such vehicles ranges from £40,000 to £60,000, while annual insurance can vary between £700 and £2,000. The TikTok post depicted Chloe’s excitement as the white Range Rover Evoque was revealed, leading her to express, „That is gorgeous,“ while admiring her new car.
Viral Moment and Public Reaction
The video, which has since gone viral with over one million views, prompted numerous comments from viewers curious about job opportunities at the company. Some expressed envy over the generous holiday gifts, with one individual remarking, „How do I apply for a job here? I don’t even get a card from my work and have to work over Christmas.“ Another commenter noted, „Wow, amazing boss. I completed 14 years of service in dementia care and got a £20 Amazon voucher.“ This festive gesture has certainly set a high standard for employer appreciation during the holiday season.
