Two individuals are in custody at a hospital following a two-vehicle accident in which a woman tragically lost her life.

The Metropolitan Police reported that the deceased woman, believed to be in her 30s, was a passenger in one of the cars involved in the crash that occurred in east London. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

The incident took place around 03:30 BST on Sunday at the intersection of Commercial Road and East India Dock in Limehouse.

Authorities have arrested two men—one in his 20s and the other in his 40s—on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. Both suspects are currently hospitalized, receiving treatment for their injuries.

Sgt John Dale from the Metropolitan Police’s Road Policing Unit stated, „As we work to gather a comprehensive understanding of the incident, we are urging anyone who may have witnessed it to come forward, especially if they possess CCTV or dash-cam footage.“

He further expressed condolences, saying, „Our thoughts remain with the victim’s family and friends during this incredibly challenging time.“

The investigation continues as police seek additional information regarding the circumstances surrounding the crash.
