FRANKFORT, Ky. – Attorney General Russell Coleman has revealed that London Mayor Randall Weddle has been indicted.
According to Coleman, a Laurel County Grand Jury issued the indictment on Tuesday, charging Weddle with two counts of violating campaign contribution restrictions and expenditure limits, classified as Class D felonies. These charges are related to contributions made to the Andy Beshear for Governor campaign during a specific election cycle, as well as two additional counts concerning contributions to the Kentucky Democratic Party within the same year.
The indictment details a total of 24 donations made to both the Beshear campaign and the Kentucky Democratic Party. It is alleged that Weddle utilized his personal credit card for these contributions and reported them under the names of other individuals. The counts specifically address donations made on December 27, 2022, and December 30, 2022.
