A man has been charged with the murder of Finbar Sullivan, who was fatally stabbed at Primrose Hill.
The 21-year-old was discovered with knife wounds near the popular viewing area in north London on Tuesday.
The Metropolitan Police reported that 27-year-old Oliuwadamilola Ogunyankinnu, residing on Southbury Road in Enfield, was arrested on Friday and subsequently charged with murder on Sunday.
Ogunyankinnu is scheduled to appear at Stratford Magistrates‘ Court on Monday.
Additionally, a 25-year-old man who was detained on suspicion of assisting an offender has been released without any further action.
The investigation into the incident remains active, according to the Metropolitan Police.
Sullivan, a film student at the London Screen Academy, was described by his father, Chris Sullivan, 65, as his only son. He expressed profound grief, stating,
„All of his friends said he was the light, the leader. His friends‘ parents loved him. This is why it’s so tragic.“
On the same day, another man in his 20s was found with stab injuries on nearby Regent’s Park Road. He was transported to the hospital, where his injuries were determined to be neither life-threatening nor life-altering.
As the investigation continues, authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward.
