Construction is set to commence this spring on a new £29.3 million educational facility at Villiers High School located in Southall. This development will feature 22 classrooms, 11 science laboratories, and six ICT and media suites.

Ealing Council has selected Morgan Sindall Construction to execute the project, which aims to replace an aging structure from the 1960s with a contemporary, energy-efficient building. This initiative is designed to enhance capacity and improve the learning environment in response to the increasing demand for school placements in Southall. The completion of the project is anticipated by the end of 2027.

The new structure will also incorporate staff and welfare amenities, a rooftop „sky garden,“ and outdoor learning areas. Plans include sustainable features such as air source heat pumps, solar panels, and rainwater conservation systems, with the school striving to fulfill a significant portion of its energy requirements independently.

Christopher Richards, headteacher at Villiers High School, remarked, „We have reached a pivotal moment for our community. Behind the scenes, we have been working to ensure these facilities meet the needs of our growing school, and this development will play a key role in delivering that vision.“
