A fresh theatrical production featuring alumni from Mischief Theatre is set to debut in London.
Entitled Meat Cute, the play is both written and performed by Laura Kirman and Meg Travers, with direction by Nancy Zamit and associate creative direction by Jess Mabel Jones.
The narrative centers on two women navigating the challenges of contemporary womanhood, particularly the societal expectations to appear composed and successful in their 30s. It has been characterized as „a platonic rom-com about falling in friendship.“
Kirman and Travers forged their connection while collaborating on stage, bonding over candid moments shared in the wings. Their initial encounter with Zamit occurred during their time with Mischief Theatre.
Meat Cute is scheduled to run at The Other Palace Studio from June 16 to June 20.
