A teenager has been charged with grievous bodily harm with intent following the tragic death of 21-year-old Finbar Sullivan in a park located in north London.
Khalid Abdulqadir, an 18-year-old from Camden, faces additional charges of violent disorder and possession of a knife in relation to the fatal stabbing that occurred last Tuesday in Primrose Hill. He is scheduled to appear at Wimbledon Magistrates‘ Court on Tuesday.
On the previous day, Oliuwadamilola Ogunyankinnu, a 27-year-old from Enfield, appeared at Stratford Magistrates‘ Court facing a murder charge. He is set to appear at the Old Bailey on Wednesday.
Finbar Sullivan, affectionately known as Fin by his friends and family, was a film student at the London Screen Academy. He was discovered with multiple knife wounds around 18:40 BST last Tuesday.
„All of his friends said he was the light, the leader. His friends‘ parents loved him. This is why it’s so tragic,“ said Chris Sullivan, Fin’s father, who expressed his grief over the loss of his only son, who had recently overcome significant health challenges, including an autoimmune disease and partial blindness.
Additionally, a 25-year-old man who was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender has been released without further action, according to the Metropolitan Police. This incident has drawn attention to the rising trend of violence among youth, similar to what was reported in the case of a jarring trend in London.
