Passengers are advised to avoid travel on a specific route after cancellations of trains to a London station due to flooding.
No services are operating between London Liverpool Street, Stratford, and Hertford East following a burst water main that led to extensive damage at Rye House station.
Travelers are instructed not to proceed between Broxbourne and Hertford East until further notice, as communicated by National Rail.
The ruptured pipe has resulted in submerged tracks and impaired a signaling system at Rye House, consequently halting operations for Greater Anglia trains in the section between Broxbourne and Hertford East.
This incident was initially reported on December 17 and is anticipated to persist „until at least the end of December 19„, as stated by National Rail.
Engineers from Network Rail and personnel from Thames Water are actively working at the site to rectify the situation.
A spokesperson for Greater Anglia remarked: „Greater Anglia would like to apologize to all passengers who have had their journeys disrupted by this incident.“
