What does Jonny Green’s new contract mean for Harlequins?

Harlequins second row Jonny Green has signed his first senior contract with the Premiership Rugby club.

The 21-year-old becomes the third academy graduate from Quins to formalize a contract this season, joining centre Ben Waghorn and back row Zach Carr in securing his immediate future at The Stoop.

Career Progression

Green joined the academy of the London-based club in 2022 and has represented Wales at the under-18, under-19, and under-20 levels.

Thus far, he has made six appearances in the first team for Harlequins in the Premiership.

Player Sentiment

„I am very pleased to be extending my future with the club,“ Green expressed on the club’s website. „Now, I want to establish myself as a player who can compete within the squad.“

He further added, „Harlequins were the club I grew up watching. It was a significant goal of mine to play for Quins while I was in school, and signing my first senior contract is a very proud moment for me.“
