A passenger on the Tube was rendered unconscious following a sudden assault by a stranger at an East London station. The incident occurred at Newbury Park, located in Ilford, around 7:45 PM on March 22, when the victim was struck in the face by an individual walking beside him.
After the attack, the assailant fled the scene, leaving the victim lying on the ground. Nearly three weeks later, the perpetrator remains unidentified.
The British Transport Police (BTP) has released a CCTV image of a man they wish to identify in connection with the incident. A spokesperson for the BTP stated, „Officers would like to speak to the man pictured, as they believe he may have information that can help their investigation.“
The footage depicts a white male of average build with slight stubble, dressed in a black jacket and a black baseball cap.
