A 29-year-old individual has been taken into custody on suspicion of murder following a fatal stabbing incident in Shadwell, located in east London.
The victim, who is thought to be in his late 20s or early 30s, was discovered by paramedics suffering from a stab wound on Watney Street on Tuesday. Despite being transported to a hospital, he succumbed to his injuries shortly thereafter.
Additionally, a second man, aged in his 50s, was located at the scene with a minor arm injury. He was also taken to the hospital but was later released.
According to the Metropolitan Police, the suspect voluntarily presented himself at a police station in the West Midlands area of Birmingham on Friday. He was subsequently transferred to a police facility in east London, where he remains in custody.
Authorities are actively working to establish the identity of the deceased.
In a related development, a 45-year-old man was apprehended in the Greenwich area on Wednesday on suspicion of aiding an offender. He has since been released on bail while investigations continue.
