Dozens of firefighters have successfully extinguished a fire that erupted in the basement of a data centre located in east London.
The London Fire Brigade (LFB) reported that approximately 60 firefighters, supported by eight fire engines, were dispatched to Nutmeg Lane in Blackwall at 04:50 GMT on Saturday.
Details of the Incident
The fire originated in a battery room housing lead-acid batteries and was brought under control prior to 07:00 GMT. The exact cause of the fire remains unknown.
Fire crews from Poplar, Millwall, Plaistow, Stratford, East Ham, and East Greenwich responded to the emergency, according to the LFB.
