On Monday, Banksy appeared to affirm that a new mural in London, showcasing two children lying down and pointing toward the sky, is his most recent creation.
The enigmatic street artist shared two photographs of the artwork on his official Instagram account shortly after it was spotted on a wall adjacent to a building in Bayswater, west London, which ignited speculation about Banksy’s involvement.
Artistic Details of the Mural
The black and white mural, situated above a garage, features two figures clad in winter hats and boots reclined on the ground, with one pointing a finger skyward.
On December 22, 2025, two men were seen observing the new Banksy artwork in London, England.
Simultaneously, a similar image appeared at the base of a tower in central London on the same day, although the graffiti artist did not include that version on his social media account.
Background on Banksy
Beginning his career by spray-painting buildings in Bristol, England, Banksy has evolved into one of the most recognized artists globally. His paintings and installations achieve auction prices in the millions, attracting both thieves and vandals.
While much of his work critiques government policy regarding migration and war, this latest piece does not appear to convey an explicit political message.
In September, his work garnered attention with a mural depicting a judge wielding a gavel over an unarmed protester holding a blood-stained placard. That piece, located on the external wall of a Royal Courts of Justice building, was promptly obscured, with officials stating removal was necessary due to the building’s historical importance. Banksy had similarly posted a photo of that work, captioned „Royal Courts Of Justice. London,“ to authenticate it.
Last summer, Banksy continued to engage London audiences with an animal-themed collection. Earlier in the year, he introduced a mural in London that many interpreted as a commentary on environmental conservation. This particular mural, located in North London’s Finsbury Park, was painted behind a heavily pruned tree and illustrated a figure seemingly spray-painting green back onto the tree’s limbs.
