Officers investigating a series of assaults targeting establishments associated with the Jewish community in northwest London, along with other related incidents, have made another arrest.
A 37-year-old man was taken into custody by Counter Terrorism Policing (CTP) on Sunday, April 26, at a location near Barnstaple, Devon.
He faces allegations of preparing terrorist acts and has been transported to a police station in London for further interrogation.
This arrest is part of a continuing investigation by CTP London into a range of attacks on Jewish community premises, an assault on a Persian-language media organization, and the discovery of jars containing a non-hazardous substance in Kensington Gardens.
CTP officers are collaborating closely with their colleagues from the Metropolitan Police in response to these arson incidents. This includes the deployment of specialized officers who are offering protective security advice and assistance to numerous organizations, community venues, and businesses.
Following the attack on Hatzola ambulances in Golders Green on March 23, CTP officers have arrested a total of 26 individuals. Among them, eight have been charged with arson-related offenses, and one person has already been convicted of arson.
