Temperatures are projected to plunge to as low as -1C next week, as reported by BBC Weather. Although the winter season has been relatively mild thus far, significant temperature declines are anticipated starting next weekend, which could lead to light snowfall across the capital.

For the remainder of this week, temperatures are expected to hover around 6C. Interestingly, New Year’s Eve will offer sunny skies with no clouds in sight. However, this pleasant weather will be short-lived, as snow is expected to begin falling on Saturday, January 3, with temperatures dropping to -1C during the early morning hours.
Following this initial bout of snow, London is predicted to encounter additional snow on Tuesday, January 6, Wednesday, January 7, and Thursday, January 8. The forecast indicates that rain is also likely, contributing to a particularly cold and damp period throughout the next week.

Variable amounts of cloud and some bright spells will be present through New Year’s Day. Becoming breezier through the day with a slight chance of light showers in the evening.
