Updates from Other Airports and Rail Services

At London Luton Airport, eight flights have been canceled, consisting of four departures and four arrivals. However, a spokesperson for the airport asserted that these cancellations are not attributable to Storm Goretti.

According to the spokesperson, „London Luton airport is open and fully operational and is not currently experiencing any weather related delays. However, airline schedules may be impacted by weather elsewhere in the UK and Europe, so please continue to check with your airline for the latest flight information.“

Meanwhile, Gatwick Airport has documented three canceled arrivals:

  • 7:55 AM Aurigny from Guernsey
  • 8:05 AM easyJet from Jersey
  • 8:30 AM British Airways from Jersey

Currently, there are no cancellations reported at London Stansted or London City Airports.

On the rail front, Chiltern Railways is operating at half the normal schedule today. Only one train per hour is running in each direction between London Marylebone and Oxford, High Wycombe, and Aylesbury.

London Northwestern Railway has recommended that passengers avoid traveling until the afternoon due to a reduced service in effect between Birmingham New Street and London Euston.

Additionally, West Midlands Railway reports that no trains are currently in operation on their entire network, with no replacement buses available. Although these trains do not connect to London, there is a substantial likelihood of resulting delays on other lines, making it essential for travelers to plan and verify their trips beforehand.
