Police have announced a £20,000 reward for any information that leads to the prosecution of those responsible for the murder of 26-year-old Daneche Tison, who was fatally shot in Queen’s Park in 2022.
Authorities responded to reports of a shooting on Bruckner Street, Queen’s Park, at approximately 02:00 hours on Tuesday, July 19, 2022. Upon arrival, officers were unable to find either a victim or a suspect. Mr. Tison later arrived at a hospital with gunshot wounds, where he unfortunately succumbed to his injuries.
While police have previously detained several individuals in connection with the shooting, no charges have been filed to date. The investigation remains ongoing.
Renewed Appeal for Information
As the fourth anniversary of Mr. Tison’s death approaches, law enforcement is making a renewed appeal to the public for assistance. The case will be highlighted in an upcoming episode of the BBC’s Crimewatch Live, scheduled to air on Thursday, March 19.
Detective Sergeant Andy Sheppard from Specialist Crime South stated,
„Our thoughts today remain with the victim’s family and loved ones, who have had to live with the knowledge that Mr. Tison’s killer is still at large. Owing to the length of time which has elapsed, the Met has decided to offer a substantial financial reward for any information leading to the prosecution of the shooter – or anyone directly involved in the murder. This decision demonstrates the Met’s commitment to solving every murder, and securing justice for all victims – no matter how long it takes.“
