Has a tragic event occurred in Maida Vale? A 40-year-old man has been fatally stabbed in a flat located in north-west London, prompting the Metropolitan Police to launch a murder investigation.
Emergency responders received a call to Tollgate House, situated on Tollgate Gardens, at approximately 21:40 GMT on Friday evening. Upon arrival, officers provided treatment to the victim for his stab wounds before transporting him to a hospital, where he subsequently passed away. Currently, no arrests have been made in connection with the incident.
Investigation Underway
Detective Chief Inspector Matthew Denby indicated that the investigation team is working diligently to „establish the full circumstances around this incident.“ In order to ensure thorough examination, several police cordons have been set up in the vicinity.
Det Ch Insp Denby expressed his condolences, stating, „My thoughts are with the victim’s family at this unimaginably difficult time,“ and noted that they are receiving support from specialized officers.

Authorities are urging anyone who may have mobile or dash cam footage from the area at the time of the stabbing to contact the police at 101.
