Authorities are seeking information from the public regarding a tragic accident that occurred in Limehouse.
Emergency services were alerted at approximately 03:30 hours on Sunday, April 5, following reports of a collision involving two vehicles at the intersection of Commercial Road and East India Dock.
Upon arrival, officers from the police and the London Ambulance Service discovered three individuals suffering from serious injuries.
Despite the prompt response from emergency personnel, a female passenger in her 30s was pronounced dead at the scene. Her family has been notified and is receiving support from specialized officers.
Two men, aged in their 20s and 40s, have been taken into custody on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. Both suspects are currently hospitalized, receiving treatment for their injuries.
Sergeant John Dale from the Metropolitan Police’s Road Policing Unit stated, „Our thoughts remain with the victim’s family and friends at this extremely difficult time. As we try to build up a full picture of the incident, we are appealing to speak to anyone who may have witnessed it – particularly if they have CCTV or dashcam footage.“
