The suspect involved in the North London shooting remains at large.
A local business owner has expressed his growing concern regarding safety in Stonebridge. This alarming sentiment follows the tragic incident where a 55-year-old man was fatally shot on West End Close.
As there have been no arrests made, the investigation into the murder continues. A 67-year-old worker, who wished to remain anonymous, reported to MyLondon that shoplifters frequently roam the area ‘masked’ up.
Increased Safety Measures
The local worker described the situation as so dire that he now keeps a pick handle within reach at his workplace, fearing potential threats from individuals armed with knives. He stated: „It doesn’t feel safe anymore; shoplifters come in gangs masked up. For the first time in seven years, I have installed cameras.“
He further elaborated, „I have a pick handle next to my till in case someone comes in with knives. I was in the police for seven years, and I feel unsafe going to and from work. It’s everyday there are disturbances. Last night, gang members rode into a local chicken shop on electric bikes. I feel very unsafe.”

He also acknowledged that this incident would raise concerns within the local community and beyond, assuring the public that increased patrols have been implemented in the area. “I urge anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has information, including dashcam footage, that can assist with our inquiries to contact us as soon as possible,” he added.
Furthermore, it is believed that a significant number of people were gathered nearby at the time of the shooting, and the authorities are eager to hear from them.
