Authorities are investigating the unexpected death of a woman in Croydon, South London, following a response to welfare concerns. Emergency services were dispatched to Lismore Road on December 29 after reports indicated a woman in her 40s was in distress.
Upon arrival, officers from the Metropolitan Police and the London Ambulance Service found the woman deceased at the scene. A representative from the Metropolitan Police confirmed, „Police were called at 11:38 PM on December 29 to address concerns for the welfare of a woman at an address in Lismore Road, Croydon. Officers attended alongside the London Ambulance Service.“
The statement further detailed, „A woman in her 40s was pronounced dead at the scene. Her passing is being classified as unexpected and remains under investigation. A post-mortem examination will be conducted in due course.“
The family of the deceased has been notified and is receiving support from officers trained in handling sensitive situations. As of now, no arrests have been made, and the investigation is actively ongoing.
