An 84-year-old woman has tragically lost her life following an alleged stabbing incident involving her son.
Doris Innes was reportedly attacked outside her residence in Plumstead, located in south-east London, on Wednesday, according to the Metropolitan Police.
In addition to Innes, two other individuals were threatened with a knife during the incident, although they did not sustain any injuries.
Giorgio Pin, aged 62, was apprehended shortly after authorities received the emergency call and has been charged with murder, along with two counts of attempted murder.
Police were notified of a man wielding a knife around 09:00 BST on Wednesday, and Pin was arrested approximately 20 minutes later.
Innes was discovered injured outside her home on Red Lion Place and was transported to a hospital by paramedics, where she later succumbed to her injuries.
Pin, who resides on nearby Brookhill Road, is scheduled to appear at Bromley Magistrates‘ Court on Saturday.
