In a statement, the Metropolitan Police announced a murder investigation following the fatal shooting of a 55-year-old man in north-west London.
Authorities responded to reports of a shooting at West End Close, Stonebridge, Brent at 21:35 GMT on Friday. Despite efforts to provide emergency first aid, the man succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
Currently, no arrests have been made, and the family of the deceased has been notified, receiving support from specialized officers, according to police reports.
Investigation Underway
Detective Chief Inspector Neil John remarked, „Investigations are proceeding effectively, and my team is diligently working to uncover the circumstances surrounding this man’s unfortunate death.“
He continued, „Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the victim during this extraordinarily challenging time.“
John also acknowledged that the incident might raise concerns within the community and beyond, asserting, „However, we have intensified patrols in the area. I want to assure the public that this investigation remains a focal point for us.“
Call for Information
Detective Chief Inspector John urged anyone with details regarding the incident to reach out to the police via 101 or submit an anonymous report to Crimestoppers.
„We also believe there was a large crowd present nearby when the incident occurred, and we are particularly eager to hear from these individuals,“ he emphasized.
