Police are requesting assistance from witnesses following the tragic death of a teenager and injuries to three others in a collision in Enfield.
At approximately 23:40 hours on Thursday, November 6, officers responded to a crash involving a car and a van on Ferny Hill, Enfield, in conjunction with the London Ambulance Service.
Four individuals were transported to the hospital, including three teenage boys from the car and the van driver, a man in his 40s.
One of the boys succumbed to his injuries on Saturday, November 8. His family is currently receiving support from specially trained officers.
The second boy sustained life-altering injuries but has since been released from the hospital. The condition of the third boy and the van driver was assessed as neither life-threatening nor life-changing.
No arrests have been made, and inquiries are ongoing.
Detective Constable Pauline Redmond of the Serious Collision Investigation Unit stated, “This was a serious collision, which resulted in the death of an 18-year-old boy. The Met is launching an investigation to determine the exact circumstances of the incident, aiming to provide some comfort to the victim’s family, friends, and survivors.”
Detectives are appealing to anyone who was in the vicinity on the night of the incident to come forward with information.
