Investigation Launched After Body Discovered in Kent Linked to Wimbledon Murder Case

The family of a deceased man is grappling with grief following the discovery of his body in Kent, as police investigate a murder case that originated in Wimbledon. Authorities have confirmed that the victim was known to two men who have since been arrested in connection with the incident.

Police responded to reports of a potential murder at Kingfisher Court in Wimbledon shortly before noon on Thursday, July 9. Upon arrival, officers found no one at the residence, prompting them to suspect that a crime had occurred. Subsequently, two men, aged 27 and 32, traveled to Kent where they were apprehended on suspicion of murder. They remain in custody as investigations continue. Details of the Investigation

Later that same day, law enforcement located the body in the woodlands of Borstal, Gillingham, Kent. While the victim has not yet been formally identified, police believe they know his identity and have informed his next of kin. It has been established that the victim had prior connections with the two arrested men.

In addition to the two primary suspects, a third individual was taken into custody on suspicion of assisting an offender but has since been released on bail. Detective Inspector Ben Dalloway, who is overseeing the investigation, expressed condolences to the victim’s family, stating,

“Our thoughts remain with the victim’s family who are understandably distraught at their loss. We will continue to offer them every support.”
