Detectives have made a significant development in the investigation of a murder that occurred in 2018, charging a man in connection with the case.
Matthew Adebiyi, aged 25, was extradited from Nigeria to London on Wednesday, April 15, where he faces charges related to the murder of 23-year-old Joshua Boadu.
Joshua, who was often referred to as SJ, suffered fatal injuries from a stabbing incident on Linsey Street in Bermondsey on June 11, 2018. He was transported to a hospital in critical condition, having sustained injuries to his chest, neck, and arm, and tragically passed away ten days later.
Adebiyi has been remanded in custody and is scheduled to appear at Uxbridge Magistrates‘ Court later today.
Previously, two individuals were convicted for their roles in SJ’s murder. In September 2019, Denilson Davis, born on July 10, 1998, from Hemel Hempstead, along with a 16-year-old male from the Southwark area, were found guilty at the Old Bailey.
