Detectives looking into the murder of a woman in Earls Court have formally charged a suspect.
Authorities received a call at approximately 11:15 a.m. on Wednesday, December 10, regarding concerns for a woman’s welfare at a location on Old Brompton Road, SW5. Officers who responded tragically discovered the body of Xiaoqing Ke, 39, within the residence. A national from China, her family members residing in China have been notified and are currently receiving assistance from specialized officers.
Details of the Incident
A post-mortem examination established that her death was caused by stab wounds.
Deepak Sandhu, 23, from Newlands Avenue, Southampton (born December 28, 2001), has been charged with murder. He is currently in custody and is set to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Monday, December 15.
A second individual, aged 47, was apprehended in connection with this case and has been released on bail as inquiries continue.

Detective Chief Inspector Wayne Jolley, who is overseeing the investigation, commented, “Our thoughts remain with Xiaoqing’s family at this incredibly difficult time. While a man has now been charged, our investigation continues, and we urge anyone with information who has not yet spoken to us to come forward.”
