The family of Paul Heyfron, who tragically lost his life, is receiving ongoing support from specially trained officers as the investigation into his death progresses. Tevin Melbourne, 30, has been charged with murder in connection with the fatal assault that occurred in East Finchley.
Melbourne, a resident of Pittman Gardens in Ilford, was apprehended in Lewisham on Friday, July 17, and subsequently charged on Monday, July 20. He is scheduled to appear at Croydon Magistrates’ Court later today.
The charge stems from an incident on Tuesday, June 30, when Heyfron, 53, was assaulted inside a shop located in Brook Walk, East Finchley. He succumbed to his injuries on Sunday, July 12.
In addition, a 47-year-old woman was arrested on the same day as Melbourne for allegedly assisting an offender. She has since been released on bail while the investigation continues.
