A 21-year-old student pursuing a career in filmmaking was fatally stabbed in Primrose Hill, with his father expressing that his son „can never be replaced.“ Finbar Sullivan was attacked during a confrontation near the popular viewing area in north London shortly after 6:30 PM BST on Tuesday, where he succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
Christopher Sullivan, Finbar’s father, shared his devastation with the media, stating that his son aspired to be a cameraman, inspired by his grandfather, Michael Seresin, who had worked on notable films such as Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban and Rambo III. „This is the worst tragedy I could ever imagine,“ the 65-year-old remarked, noting that Finbar was his only child.
Describing his son, Sullivan characterized him as a „beautiful, lovely, outgoing, loving boy.“ Finbar was enrolled at the London Screen Academy and was known for producing music videos for drill rap artists under the moniker Sully Shot It.
His father emphasized that Finbar was „not a gang member,“ but rather a „groovy 21-year-old who loved movies and making films.“
Friends Remember Finbar Sullivan
Ellen Kinnally, a friend and public relations professional from New York, shared her thoughts with the media, noting that Finbar had been unwell prior to his death but was on the mend. „He’d gotten very ill recently and everyone was so worried about him. It affected his eyesight, but he was getting better. He was a visual person,“ she stated.
In the altercation that led to Finbar’s death, another man in his twenties sustained injuries and was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening stab wounds.
The Metropolitan Police have issued an appeal for witnesses, requesting anyone with information, photographs, or videos from the incident to come forward. As of now, no arrests have been made in connection with the case.
