A Met officer will be facing court proceedings related to various sexual offences.
PC Kane McKnight, who is a part of the North Area command unit, was officially charged on Friday, October 31, with the following allegations:
- Engaging in controlling/coercive behaviour
- Attempting to sexually assault a female through penetration
- Attempting voyeurism
- Four counts of assault against a female through penetration
The charges pertain to a single victim and are reported to have taken place between 2013 and 2022.
He is scheduled to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, December 23.
PC McKnight was taken into custody in May 2022 and has remained suspended since July 2023, after previously serving in restricted duties.
