What led to the death of a man following a pub attack in East London?
The Metropolitan Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward regarding an incident that resulted in a man’s death three weeks after an assault outside a pub in Hackney. George Graham, the victim, sustained „unsurvivable injuries“ during a group altercation at The Globe on Morning Lane in the early hours of November 29.
Emergency services responded to reports of a „large altercation“ at the busy venue shortly before 1 a.m. Mr. Graham was promptly transported to the hospital in critical condition but unfortunately could not be saved. He died on Monday, December 22, just three days prior to Christmas.
As of now, there have been no arrests made in this case, prompting the Metropolitan Police to urge any witnesses to disclose what they witnessed during the incident. A dedicated page for major incidents has been established to facilitate this.
In 2025, London has experienced multiple similar incidents, including the death of 63-year-old Charlie Prodromou, who was fatally attacked outside The Watchhouse pub in Lewisham on March 1. Authorities described that incident as a „senseless“ act, and two individuals, Paul Tallant and Danny Donovan, are currently incarcerated for their involvement.
