Detectives have unveiled new photographs of an individual they urgently need to interview regarding the murder of 15-year-old Adam Henry, who was fatally stabbed in Islington last week.
The authorities are now reaching out to the public for assistance in locating him as their investigation advances.
The individual in question is 22-year-old Abdel Derdour, who is believed to use multiple aliases.
Law enforcement was alerted at approximately 13:02hrs on Tuesday, December 9, to reports of a stabbing incident on Westbourne Road in Islington.
Officers arrived at the scene accompanied by the London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance. Although Adam received treatment for his stab wounds, he unfortunately succumbed to his injuries later at the hospital. His family is being supported by specialized officers during this difficult time.
Derdour, as depicted in the images, fled the scene towards Caledonian Road.
He is described as about 5ft 8ins tall, of mixed heritage, and possessing a slim physique. His most recent appearance included a moustache and facial hair.
Chief Superintendent Jason Stewart, who oversees policing in Islington, stated: „Adam’s family have suffered an unthinkable loss, and we believe someone out there knows something that could help us bring those responsible to justice.
„If you have seen Abdel Derdour in the days following Adam’s murder, please come forward. Even the smallest detail could be the breakthrough our detectives urgently need.
„Our intelligence suggests Derdour frequents Holborn and the surrounding areas.“
